The Georgia Board of Optometry mandates 36 hours of continuing education bi-annually. Dr. Stewart
attends the well known Southern Council of Optometrists education meeting every spring. Several opticians
and ophthalmic technicians in the practice hold certifications by The American Board of Opticians. National
Contact Lens Examiners, as well as a State Optical Dispensing License issued by the Georgia Board of
Dispensing Opticians, require up to 12 hours of continuing education yearly.
